The Mercy Of Avalon
A foggy veil which blocks the way and sight
A ghostly form that fills my heart with delight
"I am Morgaine le Fay, priestess of the Isle of Avalon,
where the ancient religion of the Mother Goddess was born."
Towards a land unknown, into the fray
You sail alone and cast the mists away
Forever there, it lingers ever still
From very far, I feel it's my deepest will
Priestess come sailing down and take me there to see
A mystic land whose gates have one and only key
Reveal what lies beyond this smoky shroud
What wonders hides that huge, so steadfast cloud
I long to witness what it truly hides
Behold with my own eyes where you reside
Just lift the smoke atop the lake deep
Unveil the realm where silently you weep
When the last tear drop has fallen so gently
Our yearning has been satisfied apparently
When mercy is no longer our saviour at last
Remember, each time our hearts beats so fast
With every sigh on the tip of your tongue
My only wish was to forever stay with you along
Stronger than the light that shines at sunrise
Warmer than the rays from your sparkling eyes
The magic of mist gets all into a mingle, too
Hidden woked up dreamy thoughts come true
Whispered secrets in the enchanting haze
Serenity amassed in the misty embrace
It clings to my skin like a living thing
And makes my heart begin to sing
Your Isle of Avalon is a place of no sorrow
A place where we forget tomorrow
As I wander deeper into your heart
I know that I will never ever depart
You Priestess has claimed me as your own
I'm now forever your beloved, alone
