Childhood friendship
Ein Gedicht von
Lina Schmidt
Summer days and not a slightly sign of haze,
Playing in the woods with a smile in our face,
Cheering birds n´ cloud free sky,
Not wasting a thought that this could once die.
Screaming, laughing we´ve had it all,
Always together just give it a call,
The mindset so uncomplicated and light,
The future´s together and with you it´s bright.
It all goes so fast, times in a hurry,
We´re drifting apart is there a reason to worry?
Clouds appear a thunder is near,
Where´s the childhood, wasn´t it right here?
You and I that´s all that mattered,
But that was once and now it´s shattered,
Realizing the journey ends might suck,
But we´ve got to accept and set it a cut.
Different decisions and choices were made,
Still calling it a friendship that would be fake,
Glady for every hour we´ve had,
Our ways will split but there´s no need to be sad.
Wishing you nothing but the best,
Life goes on we shall give it a rest,
For you and me this might be an end,
But look closely around n´ you´ll find a new rescuing hand.
